Welcome to Blades in the Dark! The Free Basic Rules contains a limited selection of options. Purchasing the Blades in the Dark Rules Compendium will unlock all of the game's rules and lore! Additional character options can be found in a variety of products from the Evil Hat Productions publisher page.

When manually editing a character sheet you can generate playbook abilities, items, and friends by entering the name of the playbook in the "Playbook" section. The options are Cutter, Hound, Leech, Lurk, Slide, Spider, Whisper, Ghost, Hull, or Vampire. Manual editing does not constrain you to the game rules, so be aware that you might be breaking the rules (and your GM's heart)!
